Agenda:

1. Open discussions on obtaining Sub-Contract Status on Water Retention Ponds, landscape at a site development stage.
   First debate on this issue has started; it was recognized by all parties that this a substantial portion of the landscaping business, further discussion required.
2. Review of Monthly Reports – Year 2007 – from Local 183
   A report was given to the union for action detailing the following: contractors that have to submit 20 cents for every hour reported to the industry fund and the retro amount owing to the association by the Landscaping Contractors that incorrectly reported their industry fund remittances, union is to follow up and advise.
3. Analyze the role of NEW CONTRACTORS, that signed with the local in 2007.
   The IULCA advise the union to refrain from signing contractors unqualified and unstructured to perform the work, IULCA welcomes landscaping contractors that can bring mutual benefit to the sector.
4. Discuss SUB-SECTOR Irrigation
   The irrigation as a separate clause of our collective of agreement was mutually agreed in principal. The IULCA will formally request that a letter of understanding be added to our existing collective of agreement; a letter will be forward to the Union Executive for appreciation and approval.
5. Discuss possible solutions for the SOD sector.
   The union is on the process of signing a couple of companies with the structure and capabilities to give the general contractors working on this area the quality service that it requires – further and on going discussions required.
